  17. I have to agree with the general attitude towards the SeaQuest movie.

  19. Many of the shots looked as though motion blur was turned off, so that there
  20. was a stobing effect.  A lot of the shots looked very flat and CG.

  22. The most dissappointing shot for me was the above water shot of the
  23. SeaQuest.  After all of the tutorials in LWPro on compositing, I would have
  24. figured that the ship would be casting shadows on the water and maybe even a
  25. reflection of the ship would appear in the water.  It looked like a piece of
  26. CG was placed in a live shot with absolutely no antialiasing, no reflection
  27. mapping on the water surface, and no shadows cast from the ship to the
  28. water.  Also, the lighting of the SeaQuest above water was very poor... It
  29. really didn't even come close to the real sunlight in the scene.

  31. As for plot... UGH!  Now we have Diana Troy for a doctor (oh... I can read
  32. minds Cap'n.)  We have a gentle giant and a guy with gills!  If you thought
  33. people hated that dolphin, wait until they see some of these new
  34. characters....

  39. put you through... I'm sure things will shape up in the next couple of
  40. episodes.
